etching, engraving & sandblasting

While all three methods are used to decorate glass and other materials, each differs by carved depth, the process involved and the final level of detail.

ETCHING
With a frosted appearance, a delicate smooth finish and subtle designs, etching is often used for personalized plaques, drinking glasses and small signs.

ENGRAVING Highly detailed designs with greater depth, engraving is used for larger, dimensional projects. Stone engraving is the preferred process for monumental projects.

SANDBLASTING Used for the largest pieces, with deep, textured designs and consistent finishes over large surfaces.
